Development strategy
Mojave Gold’s strategy is to restart Telegraph through gated phases that turn technical risk into operating proof—while preserving optionality around processing, scale, and long‑term expansion.
Phase 0 • Pilot mining
- Target: 2,200 tons of selectively mined high‑grade ore
- Goal: validate grade continuity and payable recovery via offsite processing
- Permitting/readiness window: ~6 months (administrative pathway)
Phase 1 • Confirmatory drilling
- Drilling program to validate and consolidate the historic dataset
- Publish an NI 43‑101 compliant Mineral Resource Estimate
- Gate before major Phase 2 capital deployment
Phase 2 • Shallow open pit
- Open pit to ~70 ft depth on patented ground
- Ramp to ~200 tons/day (base case)
- Base case targets ~0.21 oz/ton average grade after dilution
Permitting strategy
- Vested mining rights eliminate need for a mining permit
- Phase 0 sized for administrative SMARA approval (reclamation & bond)
- Clearances confined to previously disturbed historic mining ground
- Access via historic mining road (RS‑2477 right‑of‑way posture)
Permitting timeline (high level)
The deck outlines a ~6-month Phase 0/1 readiness window and an ~18-month Phase 2 approval path with key workstreams (SMARA plans, CEQA initial study, SWPPP, geotech, ESA bio, agency processing).
- Phase 0/1: sized for administrative SMARA pathway with reclamation plan + bond
- Biological, botanical, and archaeological clearances confined to previously disturbed historic mining ground
- Access via historic mining road established prior to 1976 - believed to be a valid RS-2477 right-of-way preserved under FLPMA
Processing & logistics
Early phases assume offsite processing to avoid mill construction and reduce startup permitting. Mojave Gold has screened multiple toll processing options to maintain flexibility and pricing leverage.
